Profi.io is a SaaS platform for coaches, trainers and consultants. The product simplifies operations by offering tools for managing schedules, payments, and clients. There are also auxiliary tools, such as forms, automation, chats with clients and reports.
Over the past year, the team has collected a large number of requests from clients, which led to the realization of the need for a new solution for delivery services. The new functionality received a working name - Service builder (SB).
I. Define requirements
Problem
The functionality of packages and programs does not correspond to the work processes of our ICP, which leads to an outflow of current clients and low sales to new ones.

Context
On Profi, solo coaches and teams can offer two types of services - single sessions and complexes — packages [of sessions] and programs, which, in addition to sessions, can also include forms and learning materials.
How the program looks for a learner. Each step can be a session, form to submit or just a simple learning materials: texts, videos, embeds, etc.
According to feedback and research, coaches need a mix. Packages — a core coaching tool— often need to be supplemented with forms and materials, and programs need managing multiple sessions. The requirements for packages and programs overlap, but now they are completely different functionality, and, moreover, completely legacy. Agencies that work as entire teams have also identified additional problems with terrible hosts management (coaches responsible for a client or part of the service), client progress, and service customization for the particular client.
